We have been working on a super fantastic label for the strawberry vodka we made last week for our bride and groom, so we took a hiatus from baking and cooking for a day. What I gathered from working on a small label for homemade liquor is that I will not be able to scrapbook while Mei is kicking me and begging for my attention. I can’t cut anything while she is awake, since she is very interested in holding (and eating) everything I touch, which is very cute, but causes speed bump sized panic moments every so often.
Every kick while Mei was in the belly was fun and exciting and just filled me with awe and anticipation of her birth, but now that she is six months old, the constant kicking my side or my shoulders is starting to drive me crazy! I might have to lay on my back and kick her while she is watching movies when she is a teen, hitting those “rough,” “rebellious” years! Ok… I might not take it that far, let’s be honest.
This morning (which was around one pm for us – we stayed up late watching LOST) I got a chance to visit with Doyle who has grown!! The tomato plant he is on needs some staking action and garter type supports. It is growing and leaning and there is a secondary plant coming out of the very bottom of the plant. Should I cut it off?? Hmm… I might be spending my sunday figuring this one out. I am glad and very proud to announce that the soil has finally reached equilibrium! The tops of the tomato plants have stopped being striped with yellow or white or any other color – they are just green and growing! The plant Doyle happens to be on is growing twice as high as the other plants.
In fact, the only plant that has yet to bear any fruit is the one I am most excited about, the yellow tomatoes!! … I’m holding out hope yet. For now, we are off to celebrate a marriage!
A small note: I started watching LOST with season three… I have never been so lost watching a show called LOST, in which the people are lost, losing things, losing people and creating confusion. It took until the third disc before I started to get the hang of what the heck is going on… but now? I think I’m hooked! Season three left off on a storyline that of course is making me crazy, so instead of moving onto season one, I’m just going to move onto season four. I know. But it’s better than the Kardashians. Even though I’m a closet fan. There. I said it. Now join me on the sofa or leave me alone. GRIN!
